Psychotherapy for preteens, teens, and young adults.

We provide specialized care for 10 to 25 year olds and their families across Los Angeles and throughout California.

Reach out to us

Iris Therapy Center is a psychotherapy practice based in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood of Los Angeles. We specialize in working with 10 to 25 year-olds, with a particular emphasis on:

  • Anxiety

  • LGBTQIA+ youth, including transgender youth receiving gender-affirming medical care

  • Neurodivergence

  • Eating and body image issues

While we tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of the individual, we always use a trauma-informed lens and practice from a place of cultural humility. This whole-person approach not only alleviates symptoms but also addresses their underlying causes, opening up new perspectives and paving the way to a more meaningful and joyful life.

We are trained in and utilize the following evidence-based and depth-oriented approaches:

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

  • DBT

  • Family-Based Treatment (FBT)

  • Attachment-Focused EMDR

  • Play Therapy

OUR APPROACH

We see the whole picture.

Developmental Specialists

We understand that many struggles during these years are part of normal growth, while others need clinical support. The brain and identity are still forming, and we work with that process.

Family-Centered

Young people don't exist in isolation. We help families strengthen communication and dynamics.

Beyond Quick Fixes

We get to the root of what's driving symptoms, not just the symptoms themselves.

Evidence-Based

We use proven approaches designed for this stage of life.
